Service Technician - NSW - Sydney & Surrounds (Multiple Locations)

ActivTec is seeking a Service Technician to join our growing team in Sydney and surrounding areas.

This is a full-time position based in and around Sydney, where you will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality maintenance services to our valued clients across multiple locations. As a Service Technician, you will be at the forefront of our customer service operations, ensuring equipment functions optimally and clients receive exceptional support. This role is essential to maintaining ActivTec's reputation for reliability and excellence in the technician services sector.

Key responsibilities

- Perform routine maintenance, repairs and diagnostics on client equipment at multiple locations across Sydney and surrounding areas
- Respond promptly to service calls and troubleshoot technical issues with professionalism and efficiency
- Maintain detailed records of service work completed, parts used and time spent on each job
- Communicate clearly with clients regarding issues identified, solutions provided and preventative maintenance recommendations
- Adhere to all health and safety regulations and company procedures whilst working on client sites
- Collaborate with the support team to elevate complex issues and share knowledge with colleagues
- Manage time effectively when visiting multiple client locations throughout the day
- Maintain service vehicle and equipment in good working order and ensure all tools are properly maintained

What we're looking for

- Strong technical knowledge and practical skills in diagnosing and resolving equipment faults
- Excellent mechanical aptitude with use of hand and power tools and multi-meter experience
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail
- Strong communication skills and a customer-focused mindset




- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively across multiple appointments
- Physical capability to lift, carry and maneuver equipment safely
- Basic IT literacy and competency including mobile android applications
- Valid driver's licence, with ability to travel to multiple locations
- A commitment to health and safety compliance and professional conduct

Above and beyond

- Proven experience as a Service Technician or similar technical support role in a field service environment
- Familiarity with service management systems and software
- Relevant technical qualifications or certifications in your field of expertise
