About the Role

As an Associate, you will be responsible for ensuring the delivery of high-quality engineering services that meet client expectations and technical standards. You will support senior leaders, mentor junior staff, and contribute to the implementation of business strategies aligned with organisational goals.

The role also has a strong business development focus, including building client relationships, identifying new opportunities, winning work, and promoting Meinhardt's services to support business growth and profitability.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead and manage engineering projects to ensure timely delivery, profitability, quality outcomes, and client satisfaction.
- Develop and maintain strong client relationships, generate new business opportunities, and contribute to revenue growth.
- Prepare and oversee project proposals, tenders, contracts, budgets, and financial reporting.
- Provide technical leadership, mentoring, and coaching to junior staff while fostering a culture of technical excellence.
- Allocate and manage project resources effectively to meet project and business objectives.
- Support recruitment,



staff development, and performance management activities within the team.
- Identify and implement innovative technologies, processes, and continuous improvement initiatives that enhance project delivery and commercial performance.
- Represent Meinhardt professionally with clients, industry bodies, and key stakeholders to strengthen market presence and secure repeat business.
- Ensure compliance with quality assurance, risk management, health and safety, and Integrated Management System (IMS) requirements.
- Contribute to business planning, knowledge sharing, and the achievement of strategic and operational goals.

Skills & Experience

- Degree-qualified in Engineering or a related discipline, with relevant industry experience.
- Strong technical expertise and proven experience delivering successful engineering projects.
- Sound knowledge of relevant codes, standards, regulations, and engineering best practices.
- Demonstrated ability to manage projects, budgets, risks, and client relationships.
- Strong business development skills with the ability to identify opportunities and secure new work.
- Excellent written and verbal communication, stakeholder engagement, and report-writing skills.
- Experience mentoring and supporting junior engineers and contributing to team development.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making capabilities.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and relevant engineering software applications.
- Professional membership (or eligibility) with a recognised industry body; registration as a Professional Engineer is desirable.
- Highly motivated, client-focused, collaborative, and committed to delivering quality outcomes.
