An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced and dedicated Teacher of Outdoor Education Studies (OES) to join our College community on a full time, ongoing basis.

Reporting to the Head of Learning – Humanities, this role will teach Outdoor Education Studies subjects, across Years 10 to 12, in a collaborative and progressive environment, along with other subjects based on the experience of the successful candidate. The role will include classroom teaching, as well as daytime and overnight curriculum‑based learning activities at a range of outdoor education locations across Victoria.

Key Qualifications

- Relevant teaching qualifications and registration with the Victorian Institute of Teaching (VIT)
- Experience in teaching VCE Outdoor Education Studies. A second teaching method in Humanities, Science, Health and/or Physical Education would be an advantage
- Specific qualifications in Outdoor Education (preferred)
- Qualifications and/or extensive experience, in conjunction with an appropriate level of practical skills in outdoor activities including bushwalking,



mountain biking, climbing and abseiling (or willingness to obtain)
- Well‑developed classroom management strategies which enhance student engagement and outcomes
- Knowledge of contemporary pedagogy and innovative use of ICT in the classroom to enrich learning
- Ability to travel to regional areas within Victoria for up to 3 days to undertake experiential activities related to Outdoor Education Studies subjects
- Possession of a current (or be willing to obtain) certificate
- Wilderness First Aid Certificate
- Medium Rigid (MR) licence

- Be an active contributor to a collegial work environment
- Willingness to uphold the ethos and values of the College.
