About the RoleAn exciting, newly-created role with a global Pharmaceutical organisation currently exists in order to fill a key Senior Finance Leadership role in their Finance team. Taking a hands-on approach; this Senior Group Financial Reporting position will be responsible for establishing and leading the APAC Group Financial Reporting function; including the delivery of timely and accurate consolidated group reporting, board reporting, statutory financial statements and audit/review requirements. Initially, this role will commence as a long-term 18 month fixed-term contract, however there is the genuine scope for permanency.
The Responsibilities Reporting directly into the CFO, your responsibilities will include (but are not limited to);
- Design and implement the APAC Group Financial Reporting framework; including standardised monthly, quarterly, half-year and annual reporting processes.
- Establish reporting calendars, governance requirements, approval workflows, definitions, data ownership and quality assurance procedures.
- Develop sustainable operating procedures, process documentation and handover materials for a "future-state" finance structure.
- Lead delivery of consolidated group reporting packages; including consolidation, foreign currency translation, cash flow statements and other technical accounting deliverables.
- Lead the end-to-end external audit and half-year review processes across APAC; including auditor requirements, information requests and supporting workpapers across local finance teams.
- Ensure compliance with financial, statutory and regulatory reporting requirements across the APAC region
- Support the implementation of climate reporting requirements.
- Assistance with ad-hoc projects as and when required
- Drive continuous improvement in systems, reporting, process and efficiency
The successful applicant with have Ideally, you will be a CA/CPA qualified accounting qualified and will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills as your ability to interact and engage cross-functionally within the business will be crucial to your success. Additionally, you will have a strong attention to detail, enjoy being hands-on and have strong technical accounting / group consolidations experience. Previous experience in Big 4 / Mid-Tier chartered audit will also be considered advantageous however is not a prerequisite.
