About our role: An exciting opportunity to support the Corporate & Commercial part of the business. Based in Melbourne, with flexibility to travel interstate when required, you will partner with leaders and act as the first point of contact for all HR related enquiries.

Responsibilities include:

- Serve as the primary HR support for the Corporate & Commercial functions (up to 200 employees), providing advice and partnering with leaders to shape and execute people strategies aligned with business goals.
- Support all recruitment activity within Corporate & Commercial functions. Advise and assist leaders in applying sound recruitment and selection practices, and preparing appropriate inductions to support recent starters introduction to the business
- Collaborate with the Head of HR to design and implement strategic workforce plans, talent strategies, and organisational development initiatives.
- Lead the end-to-end talent management lifecycle, including succession planning, leadership development, and performance enablement, ensuring alignment with Lactalis’ future capability needs with stakeholders.
- Provide coaching and mentoring to leaders on complex employee relations matters, organisational change, and leadership effectiveness.
- Interpret and apply complex industrial instruments and employment legislation, providing advice and managing sensitive cases with minimal supervision.
- Act as the “pulse” for pending or potential HR issues, proactively advising the Head of HR – Corporate of any barriers and/or threats to employee engagement and performance
- Lead the analysis and action planning of the Employee Engagement Survey, driving initiatives that enhance culture, retention, and performance.
- Act as a change agent, identifying and addressing organisational challenges and proactively advising on solutions that enhance employee experience and business outcomes.




- Support with visa and rights to work queries
- Work collaboratively with the HSE team to ensure stakeholder are well supported with appropriate training and wellbeing initiatives in the course of their employment.
- Own and deliver the learning and development strategy for the Corporate & Commercial stakeholder team, including budget management, training needs analysis, and delivery of leadership development programs.

About you:

- You obtain a tertiary qualification in HR or related discipline
- Have 3+ years experience in a HR Generalist role
- Demonstrated analytical, problem solving and negotiation skills to effectively resolve issues in the workplace
- Experience in FMCG environment preferred
- Experience with effective application and interpretation of Awards, employment contracts and other legislation
- Experienced in Microsoft Office and HRIS systems, skilled with excel reporting
