Overall Role Purpose
The Key Account Manager (KAM) will manage and develop sell-in relationships with key clients across the beauty sector. This role will be responsible for driving sales, optimizing brand performance, and ensuring excellent client service. The KAM will require robust commercial capabilities to collaborate closely with the cross-functional teams including marketing, customer service and logistics to meet client needs, enhance brand buy in, and maximize revenue growth.
Account Management (15%)
- Act as the main point of contact for retail clients, ensuring their needs are met efficiently and effectively. The ideal candidate will have experience working with department store, pharmacy, and specialist retail head offices.
- Strong commercial capabilities to ensure price negotiations are well managed and continuously up to date.
- Develop and execute account plans for each client to drive brand growth and market share.
- Build out Joint Business Plan
- Monitor and manage stock levels, order processing, and inventory forecasts to ensure product availability.
Sales and Business Development (20%)
- Demonstrates strong commercial acumen with the ability to identify growth opportunities, drive profitability, and deliver results in a competitive market.
- Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets
- Identify new business opportunities within existing accounts and with potential new clients.
- Conduct regular market analysis to understand trends and identify growth opportunities.
- Drive promotional activities and product launches with clients to ensure successful execution in line with brand objectives.
- Work closely with marketing teams to develop and implement marketing strategies and promotional plans.
- Liaise with supply chain and logistics teams to manage product deliveries and ensure operational efficiency.
- Partner with Marketing to ensure that clients are up-to-date on product knowledge and best practices for selling.
Reporting and Analysis (40%)
- Possesses a strong understanding of financials and P&L; management, with the ability to interpret data and deliver accurate,
insightful management reports that support strategic decision-making.
- Provide regular sales reports, forecasts, and performance analysis to senior management.
- Analyze client sales performance and implement strategies for growth and improved profitability.
- Track promotional effectiveness and ROI on activities to guide future investments.
Customer Service (10%)
- Provide exceptional customer service and resolve any client concerns or issues promptly.
- Ensure that clients have all necessary support, including product information, marketing materials, and training resources.
Key Qualifications & Requirements
Qualifications and Experience
- 5-7 years of experience in key account management, preferably within the beauty, cosmetics, or luxury goods sectors.
- Strong understanding of the fragrance, skincare, and makeup industries.
- Strong excel and SAP experience
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Ability to analyze data and market trends to inform business decisions.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.

- Strong client relationship management skills.

Working Conditions
Office anchor days; Monday, Tuesday and Friday. 1 day a week WFH (Wednesday or Thursday).
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or related field preferred.
