As our portfolio of major infrastructure work grows in Melbourne and across Victoria, we are seeking Expressions of Interest from experienced contract administration, commercial and claims professionals interested in joining our team.

The Opportunity

This opportunity will suit commercially minded professionals who enjoy working close to project delivery, understanding how construction works in practice, identifying risk early and helping project teams achieve strong commercial outcomes.

We are particularly interested in people who have developed their experience within Tier 1, major contractor or complex project environments and would like to apply that practical knowledge across high-profile infrastructure assignments.

Depending on the assignment, our consultants may work directly within major project teams or provide specialist support from the broader CCR consultancy team.



This allows you to remain connected to practical project delivery while drawing on the expertise of our in-house commercial, legal, planning, quantum and data specialists.

What You’ll Be Doing

Depending on your experience and project assignment, your responsibilities may include:

- Administering complex construction contracts on major infrastructure projects
- Managing variations, extensions of time, disruption and other contractual claims
- Developing commercial and claims strategies
- Identifying, assessing and managing contractual and commercial risk
- Preparing and reviewing cost reports, forecasts and financial assessments
- Evaluating head contractor and subcontractor claims
- Negotiating commercial outcomes with clients, contractors and subcontractors
- Preparing contractual correspondence and maintaining contemporaneous project records
- Supporting dispute avoidance and formal dispute resolution processes, including adjudication, arbitration and expert determination
- Working closely with project delivery teams, planners, engineers, lawyers and other technical specialists

What We’re Looking For

We are keen to hear from professionals with practical construction and infrastructure experience, including:





- Experience working for a Tier 1 or major contractor, principal, consultancy or specialist subcontractor
- Strong knowledge of contract administration and commercial management
- Hands-on involvement with variations, extensions of time, delay, disruption and claims
- Experience managing commercial issues throughout the project lifecycle
- Working knowledge of standard‑form and bespoke construction contracts, including AS 2124, AS 4000, NEC, FIDIC or equivalent frameworks
- Experience in transport infrastructure, energy, utilities, resources or major civil works
- The confidence to operate at project, client and senior stakeholder level
- Solid analytical, reporting, negotiation and communication skills
- A practical, collaborative and solutions‑focused approach

Qualifications in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Engineering, Law or a related discipline will be highly regarded.
