Senior Manager - FP&A; and BI Transformation

Build the Future of Finance Analytics, Data & Business Intelligence

We are partnering with a large and complex Queensland organisation undertaking a significant finance, reporting and analytics transformation. This newly created leadership role represents a unique opportunity for an experienced FP&A; and Business Intelligence professional to help shape the future analytics capability of the organisation. Sitting at the intersection of Finance, Data and Technology, you will play a key role in modernising reporting, improving business visibility, driving data-led decision making and supporting the organisation's long-term analytics and AI roadmap. Initially, the focus will be on elevating FP&A; capability, enhancing reporting environments, developing meaningful business intelligence solutions and establishing best-practice finance data governance. Over time, this role is expected to evolve into a leadership position responsible for building and leading the Analytics & BI function.

This is an opportunity to move beyond traditional budgeting and forecasting and become the business owner of the finance reporting, analytics and data environment.

The Opportunity

Reporting to senior finance leadership, you will work closely with Finance, Technology and operational stakeholders to deliver high-quality reporting, analytics and commercial insights across the business.

You will be responsible for improving reporting visibility, enhancing data quality, building scalable dashboards, strengthening the finance data warehouse environment and helping create the foundations required for future automation and AI-enabled decision support.

FP&A; & Commercial Finance

- Lead budgeting, forecasting and long-range planning processes
- Deliver insightful financial and operational analysis
- Develop scenario modelling and decision-support tools for leadership
- Partner with business leaders to drive performance improvement initiatives
- Build KPI frameworks aligned to strategic objectives
- Support executive and board reporting requirements
- Design, develop and enhance executive and operational dashboards




- Deliver meaningful reporting and analytics solutions across the organisation
- Improve reporting automation and reduce manual reporting processes
- Create scalable reporting frameworks and performance measurement tools
- Drive data quality, governance and reporting consistency initiatives
- Translate business requirements into actionable reporting solutions
- Identify opportunities to leverage analytics to improve business performance

Data Warehouse & Reporting Architecture

- Act as the business owner for the Finance Data Warehouse environment
- Partner with Technology and Data teams to optimise the organisation's reporting architecture
- Define finance data structures, business rules and reporting standards
- Establish and maintain a single source of truth across finance and operational reporting
- Drive improvements in data governance, integrity and reporting consistency
- Support the ongoing development of the Snowflake reporting and analytics environment
- Ensure finance data is structured appropriately for future analytics, automation and AI initiatives

Transformation & Future Capability

- Contribute to the organisation's finance transformation roadmap
- Support future analytics, automation and AI-enabled reporting initiatives
- Work closely with Technology teams to improve reporting capability and data accessibility
- Identify opportunities to streamline reporting processes and improve decision-making speed
- Help shape the future Analytics & BI strategy for the organisation
- Support the development of future analytics capability, reporting frameworks and team structures

About You

You combine strong commercial finance capability with a genuine interest in data, reporting and business intelligence.



You enjoy solving complex business problems and are comfortable operating across Finance, Technology and Data environments.

- Extensive FP&A; experience including budgeting, forecasting and commercial analysis
- Strong business partnering and stakeholder management capability
- Experience working within complex reporting and data environments
- Solid understanding of data structures, reporting architecture and governance principles
- Experience working with data warehouses and enterprise reporting environments
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- A passion for continuous improvement and transformation
- The ability to influence stakeholders across Finance, Technology and Operations
