The Business Our client is a specialist in high-voltage infrastructure, delivering the critical connective tissue between renewable generation and the grid. They design and build interconnection assets (substations and transmission) and deliver EBOP for wind farms and full BOP for BESS projects. As the energy transition accelerates, this business sits right at the pointy end of it: without the assets they build, the power doesn't get from the turbine or the battery to the grid.

The Role

This is a rare standalone Senior Legal Counsel mandate for someone who wants genuine autonomy rather than a seat in a large legal team. You'll operate independently across the business, working hand in- love with the commercial and project delivery teams,



while maintaining a dual reporting relationship, up to overseas Head Office and in with the local leadership team.

Expect a broad, hands-on remit spanning contract negotiation, risk management, and commercial advisory across a live pipeline of interconnection, EBOP, and BOP projects. This isn't a back-office legal role, you'll be embedded in deal execution and project delivery from the ground up.

What You'll Bring

- Solid experience as in-house counsel or private practice with genuine exposure to the renewable energy sector
- Robust background in construction law
- EPC, EBOP, or BOP contract frameworks ideally

- Comfort operating autonomously without a large legal team around you
- Ability to manage dual reporting lines and stakeholders across time zones and geographies
- Commercial instincts to partner closely with delivery and commercial teams, not just review contracts from the sidelines
