The Role
Reporting to the Director of Finance, this highly visible leadership position will lead a team of five Finance Business Partners and play a pivotal role in supporting strategic decision-making across the organisation.
You will provide leadership, direction and mentorship to a high-performing team while acting as a trusted advisor to Executive Directors, General Managers and senior operational leaders. You will drive a proactive business partnering approach that delivers meaningful financial insights, supports organisational priorities and improves financial and operational performance.
Working across a complex healthcare environment, you will lead budgeting, forecasting and financial planning activities, oversee the development of business cases and investment proposals, and provide strategic financial advice to support key service delivery and transformation initiatives.
Key responsibilities include
- Leading and developing a team of five Finance Business Partners.
- Building trusted relationships with executive and operational stakeholders across the organisation.
- Driving annual budgeting, forecasting and long-term financial planning processes.
- Delivering insightful financial analysis to support strategic and operational decision-making.
- Leading the preparation and review of business cases, funding submissions and financial models.
- Identifying opportunities to improve financial performance, efficiency and resource utilisation.
- Driving continuous improvement across finance processes, reporting and business partnering practices.
- Supporting major organisational projects, service developments and transformation programs.
The Candidate You are an experienced finance leader with a strong background in business partnering within large, complex organisations. You have a demonstrated ability to influence senior stakeholders, lead teams and translate financial information into meaningful strategic insights.
You bring a collaborative leadership style, commercial mindset and genuine passion for supporting services that make a positive impact on the community.
To be successful, you will possess:
- Tertiary qualifications in Accounting, Commerce,
Business or a related discipline.
- CA or CPA qualification.
- Proven experience leading finance business partnering teams or senior finance professionals.
- Strong experience in budgeting, forecasting, financial planning and business case development.
- Advanced financial modelling and analytical capability.
- Demonstrated ability to build effective relationships with Executive and operational stakeholders.
- Experience working within healthcare, government or other large and complex service-based organisations will be highly regarded.
- Outstanding communication, stakeholder management and people leadership skills.
