Job Summary
Full-time (average of 38 hours per week)

In this role you will lead a dedicated team, responsible for the coordination of agendas and minutes, statutory compliance responsibilities, civic functions, and other key City documentation including policy, local laws etc.
Responsibilities
- Effectively manage a small team
- Interpret legislation and statutory requirements
- Conduct research and analytical work to facilitate decision making
- Produce well‑constructed and informative reports pitched to a busy local government audience
- Maintain strong computer literacy, particularly in the Microsoft Office suite, intranet and web‑based software
- Manage time and organisational priorities effectively
Qualifications / Experience
- Previous experience in Local Government is desirable,
preferably in a governance or senior administration role
- High level of time management and organisational skills
Selection Criteria
- Ability to understand relevant Acts and Regulations
- Demonstrated ability to undertake research, problem solve complex issues, and develop clear and concise briefing notes and discussion papers with supporting recommendations
- Demonstrated understanding of the Council decision making process, agendas and minutes
- Highly developed skills in people management
Perks
- Salary from $111,967 to $119,224 per annum (dependent on skills and experience)
- 12% superannuation with the option to co‑contribute up to a further 5%
