Kooringal Child Care Centre is seeking an Experienced Diploma Educator to join our dedicated team in Wagga Wagga, NSW. This is a full time position that plays a vital role in providing high-quality care and education to children in our centre. As an Experienced Diploma Educator, you will be responsible for creating engaging, nurturing learning environments that support the developmental needs of the children in your care. This position is integral to our mission of fostering early childhood development and delivering exceptional educational experiences that prepare children for their future learning journey.

Key responsibilities

- Plan, implement and evaluate developmentally appropriate learning experiences and activities that align with the Early Years Learning Framework and our centre's educational philosophy
- Provide direct care, supervision and support to children, ensuring their safety, wellbeing and emotional security at all times
- Build and maintain positive relationships with children and families, communicating regularly about children's progress, achievements and developmental milestones
- Collaborate with colleagues to create inclusive, supportive environments that cater to the individual needs and interests of all children
- Maintain comprehensive and accurate documentation of children's learning and development, including observations and assessments
- Support the implementation of centre policies and procedures, including health, safety, hygiene and nutrition standards
- Contribute to a positive team culture and actively participate in professional development and ongoing training
- Assist in the preparation of spaces, materials and resources to facilitate learning and exploration

What we’re looking for

- A nationally recognised Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care or equivalent qualification




- Current Working with Children Check clearance (or willingness to obtain one)
- Demonstrated experience working in childcare or early education settings
- Strong knowledge of the Early Years Learning Framework and current best practice in early childhood education
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with children, families and colleagues
- A genuine passion for early childhood education and child development
- The ability to work effectively as part of a team whilst also taking initiative independently
- Current First Aid and CPR certification (or willingness to obtain)
- A commitment to maintaining professional standards and contributing to ongoing centre improvement
- Ability to provide 2 current professional Child Care References
- Completed training in Child Protection legislation and its implication for the care and protection of children.
- Right to work in Australia
