About the Role
We are seeking an accomplished Senior Project Manager to lead the delivery of complex, business-critical technology and cybersecurity initiatives within a highly regulated environment.
The successful candidate will have a strong record of managing large-scale, cross-functional projects involving cybersecurity, technology transformation, regulatory compliance, risk management and organisational change. You will work closely with executive stakeholders, technology teams, cybersecurity specialists, risk and compliance functions, vendors and business leaders to deliver projects safely, efficiently and in accordance with regulatory obligations.
This position requires an experienced delivery professional who can operate confidently in complex environments, manage competing priorities and translate technical, regulatory and business requirements into clear and achievable project outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the end-to-end delivery of complex IT, cybersecurity, regulatory and technology transformation projects.
- Develop and maintain project plans, schedules, budgets, resource plans, governance frameworks and delivery roadmaps.
- Establish explicit project scope, objectives, success criteria, deliverables and accountability across all workstreams.
- Manage project risks, issues, assumptions, dependencies and decisions, ensuring appropriate escalation and resolution.
- Ensure projects comply with applicable regulatory, legal, cybersecurity, privacy, risk and governance requirements.
- Coordinate multidisciplinary teams across cybersecurity, infrastructure, cloud, applications, data, architecture, risk, compliance, legal and business operations.
- Engage and influence senior executives, steering committees, regulators, auditors and other key stakeholders.
- Prepare high-quality project reporting, executive briefings,
steering committee papers, dashboards and status updates.
- Manage project budgets, forecasts, procurement activities, contracts and third-party vendors.
- Lead project governance forums and ensure decisions, actions and accountabilities are clearly documented.
- Apply fit-for-purpose delivery methodologies, including predictive, Agile and hybrid approaches.
- Facilitate workshops, planning sessions, risk reviews, retrospectives and stakeholder meetings.
- Manage organisational change impacts, including communications, training, operational readiness and business transition.
- Ensure cybersecurity and technology solutions meet agreed security, architecture, resilience and operational requirements.
- Support assurance activities, internal and external audits, regulatory reviews and remediation programs.
- Drive continuous improvement across project delivery practices, governance standards and reporting processes.
- Mentor project managers, business analysts, project coordinators and other delivery professionals.
Required Experience
- Minimum 8 years of project management experience , including significant experience leading complex IT or cybersecurity projects.
- Demonstrated success delivering projects within regulated industries such as financial services, government, critical infrastructure, telecommunications, healthcare, energy or insurance.
- Experience delivering regulatory compliance, risk remediation, cybersecurity uplift or technology transformation programs.
- Strong understanding of cybersecurity concepts, controls, risks and operating environments.
- Experience managing projects involving areas such as:
- Cybersecurity governance and risk
- Identity and access management
- Security operations and monitoring
- Cloud security
- Data protection and privacy
- Vulnerability management
- Cyber resilience and disaster recovery
- Third-party and supply-chain risk
- Regulatory remediation
- Infrastructure and application transformation
- Proven experience managing multiple workstreams, complex dependencies and geographically or functionally dispersed teams.
- Strong commercial experience, including budget management, forecasting, vendor management and contract delivery.
- Demonstrated experience working with senior executives, steering committees, assurance teams, auditors and regulatory stakeholders.
- Experience managing projects from initiation and business case development through implementation, transition and closure.
Project Management Knowledge Candidates must demonstrate strong working knowledge of project and program delivery methodologies, including:
- PMBOK and predictive project management
- Agile and Scrum
- Kanban
- SAFe or other scaled Agile frameworks
- PRINCE2
- Waterfall
- Hybrid delivery models
- Change management and organisational readiness
- Risk, issue and dependency management

- The successful candidate will be expected to select and tailor the delivery methodology according to the project’s complexity, regulatory obligations, risk profile and organisational environment.
