Outback Honey is an Australian owned and operated apiary located in Dubbo, NSW, Australia. It produces Australian certified organic honey. The business Is now offering a full-time permanent position to candidates with the necessary skilled experience.

Qualifications & experience

The Candidates must provide evidence of at least three year's experience working as a skilled apiarist/beekeeper.

The successful applicant is expected to have skilled experience in the below-listed duties, be of good character, free from allergies, and willing to comply with industry WHS and quality assurance standards and expectations.

Tasks & responsibilities

- Breeding and raising queen bees
- Monitoring and maintaining the health and operation of the bees




- Checking and re-queening bee hives regularly
- Proving and maintaining appropriate nutritional setting
- Producing, harvesting and extracting honey/honeycomb
- Assisting in Royal Jelly, pollen, bees wax and propolis production
- Planning and organising brood nest management operations
- Inspecting bee sites for good breeding condition and honey production
- Co-ordinating farmers for pollination services
- Destroying superfluous queen bee cells to prevent division of colony by swarming
