GEMA Group is seeking an experienced Casual Corporate Operations Manager to lead our corporate hospitality team at Melbourne Royal Showgrounds . We're looking for a motivated hospitality professional to assist in delivering exceptional service and create unforgettable experiences for our patrons, corporate clients and VIP guests.

This role will also support our team at AAMI Park and have opportunities to work with our teams on site at major events in Victoria that we support such as Australian Open and Formula One Australian Grand Prix .

About the Role

As a Casual Corporate Operations Manager , you'll be assisting with the operational delivery of hospitality experiences during events at our large-scale venue.
This is a hands-on role where you'll ensure exceptional service standards, coordinate multiple hospitality areas,



and manage on-site teams to deliver memorable experiences.This role will be paid at a Level 5 HIGA casual rate.

Key Responsibilities

Lead by example and motivate your team to provide exceptional service to our guests.

Ensure that patrons, clients and guests receive a warm welcome, prompt attention, and an unforgettable dining experience.

Train and mentor staff in service standards, ensuring consistent excellence.

Manage and oversee various events, ensuring smooth execution and guest satisfaction.

Maintain the highest service standards and uphold our commitment to exceeding guest expectations.

Address guest concerns and resolve issues promptly, turning challenges into opportunities.

Take part in event planning meetings, collaborating with internal stakeholders and venue teams

Ensure corporate spaces are set, staffed, and service-ready before doors open

Contribute to post-event debriefs and ongoing improvement of service operations

Support onboarding and training so every team member is set up to succeed

What We're Looking For

Previous experience in a supervisory or leadership role in the food and beverage industry.

A genuine passion for hospitality and a dedication to providing exceptional service.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Proven ability to lead and motivate a team.

Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Demonstrated expertise in leading large-scale banquet events, gala dinners, or upscale restaurant operations

Valid VIC RSA Certificate

Food Safety Certificate
