About the Home

Bupa Ballina is a beautiful care home set in the scenic seaside town of Ballina on the North Coast of NSW. Located near the airport and beaches, this care home provides an awesome tropical landscape. It consists of 123 beds, with a variety of care units. Our primary goal is placing our focus on the health, lifestyle and well-being of our residents.

About the Role

To deliver effective support to the hospitality function within the care home, including catering,cleaningand laundry

Use your fantasticfood services and cleaningskills in a role where you really can make a differenceby providingour residents with an empathetic and personal approach.

About you

Previouscatering / food service or cleaningexperience preferred but not essential.

You will be a team player and someone who enjoys interacting with people and giving back to our most vulnerable.

Duties

- Maintain legislated workplace health and safety, qualityand hygiene standards
- Complete required documentation and reporting
- Respond to residents’ queries and requests
- Laundry duties include loading washers & dryers, sort linen, hang, fold, wrap or iron linen
- Catering / food services duties include assisting with basic food prep, provide meals and snacks, clear dining areas and dishwashing
- Cleaning duties include general cleaning; mopping, vacuuming,



and waste collectionin the residents’ rooms, bathrooms, communal and living areas

Skills and Experience

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Cleaning or catering experience preferred but not essential
- Flexible availability for a variety of shifts throughout the week
- You will have an understanding of work health, safety and hygiene practices and the ability to work unsupervised.
