This is an excellent prospect for mechanically minded individuals to progress their skillsets into a career within an industry that is thriving in Newcastle and the Hunter. In this position you will play a crucial role in assisting skilled Tradesmen in carrying out mechanical repairs, upgrades and services to underground Monorails.

Key Responsibilities

- Assist in the maintenance, repair, and assembly of mechanical equipment and machinery.
- Perform routine inspections and basic troubleshooting.
- Prepare and organise tools, materials, and equipment for jobs.
- Clean and maintain work areas and equipment.
- Assist in the movement of heavy machinery and components.
- Follow safety protocols and maintain a safe working environment.

Requirements

- Previous experience in a mechanical workshop or similar environment is preferred.
- Basic knowledge of hand and power tools.




- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality work.
- Good communication skills and the ability to work well in a team.
- Safety-conscious and willing to follow all safety guidelines.
