Safety Health Environment Advisor required for South Walker Creek Mine | Closest mine to Mackay | 8:6 roster | Camp accommodation provided.

Weare currently recruiting for anexperiencedHealth &Safety; Advisorto join our Safety teambased atSouth Walker Creekmine,in Coppabella just 1.5 hours from Mackay. This role will primarily support the maintenance department.

Reporting to the Safety, Health, Environment and Training Superintendent, the successful candidate will have the capability to handle multiple complex situations simultaneously and a demonstrated recordofpositively influencing key stakeholders to achieve SHET objectives.

This role will operate on an 8/6 roster, DIDO from local areas. Camp accommodation will be provided if required.

- Facilitate and develop risk assessments in alignment with the project’s schedule of works;
- Develop, schedule and champion a project specific SHE Monitoring Program directly informed by completed, activity specific risk assessments;
- Monitor the effectiveness of the application of the Safety and Health, Environment Plan on site and provide advice to the SHET Superintendent on possible improvement initiatives;




- Contribute to and inject SHE risk based content within planned project communication forums;
- High level ICAM investigation experience essential;
- A key function of the role is enhancing the culture of workplace safety through mutual trust and respect.
- Disciplined approach to maintaining client and Golding Safety and Health Management Systems
- Identify and support opportunities for improving the health and safety for Golding team

The successful candidate will have exceptional communication skills with a natural ability and willingness to engage with the workforce through regular safety interactions and field leadership activities

Key capability requirements:

- Degree or diploma in Occupational Health and Safety
- Mining site-based experience is preferred; but encourage those with heavy-industry experience to apply
- Maintenance safety advisor experience is highly regarded
- Demonstrated ability to lead and facilitate risk assessments associated with heavy industry work;
- Experience in SHE auditing, incident reporting and incident investigation.
