Col Wilkie Body Works is seeking a dedicated and hardworking Labourer to join our team in Toowoomba, QLD. This is a full-time position offering an excellent opportunity to develop your skills in the automotive industry. You will contribute to the day-to-day operations that keep our business running smoothly and efficiently. This role is fundamental to supporting our skilled tradespeople and ensuring projects are completed to the highest standards.

What you'll be doing

- Assisting qualified tradespeople with preparation and setup of work areas
- Performing general cleaning and maintenance of tools, equipment and work spaces
- Loading and unloading materials, parts and vehicle components safely and efficiently
- Supporting body work and repair tasks under supervision, including holding components and assisting with fitting and assembly
- Organising and maintaining inventory of materials, parts and supplies
- Following all workplace health and safety procedures and guidelines at all times
- Ensuring waste is properly disposed of and work areas remain clean and tidy
- Undertaking training to develop practical skills and industry knowledge
- Communicating effectively with team members and reporting any issues or concerns promptly

What we're looking for

- A strong work ethic and commitment to completing tasks to a high standard
- Physical fitness and ability to perform manual labour, including lifting and carrying heavy items
- Reliability and punctuality, with a genuine desire to turn up and contribute daily
- A willingness to learn and develop new skills in a hands-on environment
- Good communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively as part of a team




- Attention to detail and awareness of workplace health and safety requirements
- A positive attitude and flexibility in approach to varying tasks
- Previous experience in trades, manufacturing or automotive work is advantageous but not essential
- A current driver's licence is preferred
