Ridgeline Recruitment is currently seeking an experienced Shotfirer to join a well-established mining operation, initially on a 2:1 FIFO roster ex Perth, commencing immediately.

What's on offer

- FIFO ex Perth
- 2:1 roster transitioning to 8:6
- up to $63 per hour (depending experience) + super paid on all hours worked
- Training provided to expand and strengthen your skill set where necessary
- Potential for casual to full time after 6 months (pending performance)

About the Role Working as part of an experienced Drill & Blast team, you'll be responsible for the safe preparation, loading and firing of production blasts while maintaining a high level of safety and operational standards.

To be successful, you will have

- Minimum 5 years' experience working as a Shotfirer in open-cut mining
- Previous shotfiring experience in a gold mining environment preferred
- Experience with electronic initiation systems (Digishot preferred)
- Some exposure to Nonel initiation systems and detcord highly regarded




- Presplit loading experience (highly advantageous)
- Strong communication and record-keeping skills
- Ability to work safely within established procedures
- Ability to pass a pre-employment medical
- Current National Police Clearance or willingness to obtain one

Required licences and tickets

- Current WA Shotfirer's Licence
- Current Dangerous Goods Security Card (DGSC)
- Current Australian C Class Driver's Licence
