Wait Staff - Rockhampton and Surrounding Regions

Job Description

Canex has an opportunity for 10 x Hospitality workers to work across several establishments in Rockhampton and surrounding regions. The roles can vary and you could be tasked with cleaning, cafe work, waiting, laundry, housekeeping, food preparation & dishwashing or general maintenance of the site. For these exciting roles you must have a good level of physical fitness, as you are often on your feet and active for the majority of your shift. Requirements:

- Some experience in hospitality roles
- Waiting experience
- Ready and able to work long shifts (11 hours+ a day)
- Be flexible in your approach to work
- A excellent attitude with your work
- Be neat in tidy
- Be able to work alone or part of a team.

You will be required to work on average 30 hours per week.



The term of work will be from August 2026 to May 2027 You will be paid under the Hospitality Industry (General) Award (MA ).

- The work will range in pay from an ordinary rate of Level 1
- 4 $33.05/hr up to $36+/hr
- Working hours will vary from anywhere from 6am to 1am, 7 days per week.
- Overtime rates will be paid where applicable
- Upskilling & additional allowances may also be paid if you were trained in extra tasks.
