Doncaster Veterinary Hospital is seeking a part-time or full-time veterinary nurse to join our respected, well-established general practice. This role is suited to a motivated nurse who enjoys wide-ranging clinical work, values excellent patient care and client service, and would like to be part of a supportive, experienced team. You will work alongside skilled veterinarians and nurses in a collaborative environment where professional development, teamwork and high standards of nursing care are genuinely valued.

Our nurses are valued members of the clinical team and are actively involved in patient care, hospital procedures and client support. The caseload is varied and engaging, including routine procedures, orthopaedic and soft tissue surgery, laparoscopic surgery, internal medicine, infectious disease cases and more. This provides a rewarding opportunity for nurses who enjoy hands‑on clinical work in a busy, well‑equipped hospital environment.
The Opportunity:
This is a varied and rewarding part-time or full time role for a veterinary nurse, with duties across both hospital nursing and reception nursing.
You will gain exposure to a wide range of clinical and client‑care responsibilities while working as part of a supportive nursing and veterinary team. Our practice is open from 8am to 7pm Monday to Friday and 8.30am to 1pm on Saturdays. Applicants should be available between 7am and 7pm Monday to Friday and 8am to 1pm on weekends. Flexibility with working hours is highly valued.
Key selection criteria:
- A qualified veterinary nurse, or an applicant with suitable hands‑on experience in a veterinary clinical setting
- A compassionate and professional approach to patient care, client communication and teamwork
- The ability to work confidently and collaboratively in a busy, team‑focused environment
- A strong interest in continuing to develop your nursing skills and professional knowledge
- A genuine passion for veterinary nursing, animal welfare and supporting clients through all stages of their pet’s care
- Excellent communication skills and a warm, client‑focused approach to customer service

You will be joining a friendly, hardworking and supportive nursing team within a busy, well‑equipped hospital. Our nurses are encouraged to develop their skills across a broad range of cases, with support from senior and experienced team members, including several staff with more than 20 years of experience.
