Care Right Associates PTY LTD is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Community Support Worker to join our team in Bundaberg, QLD. This is a part-time position that plays a vital role in delivering high-quality support services to members of our community who require assistance with daily living activities and social engagement. As a Community Support Worker, you will be at the heart of our mission to enhance the quality of life for vulnerable individuals, providing practical and emotional support that enables them to maintain independence and participate meaningfully in their communities.

What you'll be doing

- Assisting clients with activities of daily living, including personal care, grooming, and household management
- Supporting clients to access community activities, social groups, and recreational opportunities that promote wellbeing and social inclusion
- Providing emotional support and companionship to clients, helping to build trust and rapport
- Assisting with shopping, meal preparation, and nutritional support as required
- Supporting clients to manage appointments and liaising with healthcare providers and other services
- Maintaining detailed and accurate records of client interactions and support provided
- Working collaboratively with the wider care team to ensure consistent, person-centred support
- Identifying and reporting any concerns regarding client safety or wellbeing
- Promoting client independence and dignity whilst providing respectful and culturally sensitive support

What we’re looking for

- A genuine passion for supporting vulnerable and aged members of the community with empathy and respect
- Previous experience working in aged care, disability support, community services or a related field is highly desirable
- Strong communication skills with the ability to listen actively and respond compassionately to client needs
- Demonstrated ability to build positive relationships and work collaboratively with clients, families, and colleagues




- Physical capability to provide personal care support and mobility assistance
- Reliability, punctuality and a professional approach to all duties
- A current Police Check and Working with Children Check (or willingness to obtain these)
- Current First Aid certification or willingness to obtain this qualification
- Flexibility to work varied hours, including mornings, afternoons, and weekends as required
- A valid driver's licence and access to reliable transport is advantageous
- Commitment to ongoing career development and adherence to relevant standards and codes of conduct
