Registered Nurse - Cardiothoracic Medical and Surgical Ward

We are seeking Registered Nurses for a dynamic and team-oriented team on Cain Ward on a permanent, full-time basis.

This is a mixedsurgical and medical ward specialising in the care of cardio-thoracic, vascular and cardiac medical inpatients (including telemetry beds).We have full-time, part-time and casual positions available with flexible rostering across afternoon, twilight and night shifts.

About the Role

As a member of our clinical team you will be planning, evaluating and delivering care to patients with the support and guidance of the Nurse Unit Manager, Clinical Nurse and Shift Leaders to ensure a high level of quality service is provided to our patients.

Key Responsibilities

- Deliver high-quality, patient-centred nursing care in a fast-paced cardiac environment
- Monitor and manage post-operative cardiac and thoracic surgery patients
- Care for patients undergoing interventional cardiology and structural heart procedures
- Perform cardiac monitoring and recognise/respond to patient deterioration
- Collaborate closely with cardiologists, cardiothoracic surgeons and multidisciplinary teams
- Maintain accurate clinical documentation and participate in quality improvement initiatives
- Support patients and families through recovery and education
- You will work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team to ensure safe and effective care delivery in alignment with hospital policies.

About You

You will be a trained nurse with exceptional customer service, confident communication, and strong interpersonal skills. You will also demonstrate:

- Current registration with AHPRA (Registered Nurses)




- Minimum12 months acute care or surgical ward experience
- Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Flexibility to support a 24hr staffed ward
- Commitment to teamwork, patient safety, and professional growth.

Remuneration

On offer is a base hourly rate ranging from $40.24 - $56.52 + superannuation based on experience level and qualifications, exclusive of penalties or allowances. (NSW RN/Midwife gr1-gr8)
