We are seeking an experienced Senior Mechanical Engineer – SMP & Completions to support SMP construction, mechanical completions, commissioning readiness and handover for a major infrastructure project.

Key Responsibilities

- Coordinate SMP construction, mechanical completions, commissioning readiness, turnover and handover activities.
- Manage inspections, testing, ITPs, ITRs, test packs, punch lists, NCRs and RFIs through to close-out.
- Review engineering drawings, specifications and technical documentation to support construction and commissioning.
- Work closely with Engineering, Construction, QA/QC, Commissioning, Procurement, vendors and subcontractors to resolve project issues.
- Monitor project progress, completion records, risks and documentation , ensuring compliance with HSE, quality and project requirements.

Skills & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or a related engineering discipline.
- 5+ years’ experience in SMP engineering,



mechanical completions, construction, commissioning or QA/QC within major infrastructure, energy, mining or EPC projects.
- Solid knowledge of structural steel, piping, pumps, valves, rotating equipment and mechanical systems .
- Hands-on experience with mechanical completions, systemisation, commissioning, turnover, ITPs, ITRs, test packs, NCRs and RFIs .
- Experience with Completion Management Systems (CMS) , strong stakeholder coordination skills, and a valid White Card .

Site Requirements This is a Monday-to-Friday role based in Goulburn, NSW , with travel to Cooma and project sites as required. The position may involve site inspections, system walkdowns, commissioning readiness activities and project coordination meetings.
