About the Role A Solution Architect position is available within a large enterprise organisation delivering a range of enterprise software initiatives.

This role offers the opportunity to own solution architecture across a range of software delivery initiatives, working closely with Product Owners, UX Designers, Developers and fellow Architects to design and deliver high-quality technical solutions.

Unlike traditional enterprise architecture positions, this is a hands-on, delivery-focused role where you'll remain engaged throughout the entire software development lifecycle. From translating business requirements into solution designs through to supporting developers during implementation, you'll play a key role in ensuring successful project outcomes.

This is an initial 12-month contract with a high likelihood of extension, offering the opportunity to contribute to a range of large-scale technology initiatives within a collaborative and delivery-focused setting.

You Should Have

- 10+ years of commercial software development experience
- 2+ years of commercial Solution Architecture experience
- Strong solution design and architecture documentation skills
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills
- Experience translating business requirements into technical solutions
- Ability to collaborate effectively across Product, UX, Development and Architecture teams
- Pragmatic, delivery-focused approach to solution architecture

Technical Requirements

Must Have

- Commercial Solution Architecture experience
- Strong software development background
- Solution design and architecture documentation
- System modelling and architecture diagramming
- Experience delivering solutions from design through to implementation
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills




- Ability to produce clear technical documentation and architectural artefacts

Nice to Have

- Resources sector experience
- TOGAF or similar architecture framework
- Sequence diagrams, system diagrams and logical models
- Semantic modelling
- Experience working within large enterprise environments

Key Responsibilities

- Produce solution architecture designs for software delivery projects
- Translate business and product requirements into practical technical solutions
- Define subsystem interfaces and responsibilities
- Develop and maintain architecture documentation and system models
- Collaborate closely with Product Owners, UX Designers and Development teams
- Validate technical requirements and solution designs
- Support developers throughout implementation to ensure successful delivery
- Review solutions to ensure they meet business and technical objectives
- Act as the technical bridge between Architecture and Software Delivery teams

Working Arrangements

- Hybrid working arrangement
- Most architects choose to work predominantly from the office due to the highly collaborative nature of the role
- Candidates should be comfortable working onsite regularly to support close collaboration with delivery teams
