The Role (What you'll be doing)

- Crew Leadership Map out daily tasks, monitor shift productivity, and coach a dedicated team of 2-3 Operators and 4 drivers.
- Set the standard for a strong, practical safety culture on the floor.
- Transport & Logistics Coordination Plan and coordinate transport schedules to ensure smooth material movement in and out of the gate.




- Act as the primary point of contact for drivers and subcontrators, and business partners in the sector Optimise routing and load allocations to eliminate bottlenecks.
- Site & Machinery Supervision Take ownership of daily facility performance. Coordinate routine machinery maintenance and quickly troubleshoot or report faults to minimise operational downtime.
- Safety & Compliance Lead daily toolbox talks, conduct risk assessments, and run regular site safety inspections. Ensure the facility strictly meets heavy vehicle national regulations and site safety standards.
- Operational Reporting Maintain clean, accurate records of inbound/outbound material volumes, transport logs, and safety paperwork.

What you need to bring

- Supervisory Track Record: Experience leading teams within transport, logistics, freight forwarding, or heavy warehouse operations.
- Logistics & Dispatch: Solid experience handling transport scheduling, gate receipts, or fleet coordination.
- Safety First: Strong, practical understanding of WHS standards and compliance reporting.
- The Essentials: Explicit communication, sharp problem-solving skills, and a reliable, "lead from the front" work ethic.
