TX Australia is a communications infrastructure business that owns, operates, and maintains digital television and radio transmission facilities in the five metro markets in Australia. Clients include all major television and radio broadcasters.

About the role

As the Field Operations Technician, you'll be responsible to ensure continuity and effective technical operations of TXA facilities across the country, including the technical implementation of broadcast transmission infrastructure and services. The NSW office is located at Artarmon, but the role will involve support to the transmission network in VIC. There is an expectation of regular rostered on call duty, for 24x7 fault restoration.

Duties

- Preventative maintenance and 24/7 incident response of the metropolitan DAB, DTV and FM radio broadcast services.
- Regular monitoring and testing of RF systems.




- Continuity and effective operations of TXA owned and managed facilities.
- Management of contractors and suppliers to ensure high levels of service.
- Delivery of projects across the country and support with current business opportunities.

Skills & experience

- Electronics/Communications Engineering qualification.
- Hands-on experience in high power broadcast transmission, RF systems, digital television, FM fundamentals and network management systems.
- Understanding of IT network security and systems operational experience.
- Solid understanding and experience with facilities and contractor management.
- Demonstrated fault finding in the relevant hardware and software environments.
