We are seeking an experienced Traffic Signals Electrician to join our team. This hands‑on role will see you working across diverse projects involving traffic signals and Intelligent Transport Systems (ITS), ensuring the protected and efficient operation of critical transport infrastructure.
The ideal candidate will hold a current NSW Electrical Licence and have proven experience within the Traffic Signals and ITS industries, including installation, fault finding, maintenance, and commissioning. A White Card is essential.
You will play a key role in the construction, maintenance, and inspection of ITS assets, performing both planned maintenance and urgent operational tasks in a fast‑paced environment. Adaptability, technical skill, and a strong commitment to safety and teamwork will be essential to your success.
Key Capabilities
- Construction and reconstruction of assets such as Traffic Control Signals (TCS), Variable Message Signs (VMS),
and hazard warning signs (AWS, VSLS)
- Inspection, testing, and fault finding in accordance with Australian Standards and TfNSW requirements
- Installation and modification of new and existing Traffic Signal and ITS assets
- Ensuring compliance with safety and operational regulations
- Maintaining accurate records and documentation in line with company and legislative standards
- Liaising with customers, contractors, and internal stakeholders
- Demonstrating initiative and adaptability to learn recent systems and perform diverse tasks
- Physically fit and capable of performing manual handling tasks
- Current NSW Electrical Licence (or eligibility to obtain)
- White Card
- Current Driver Licence
- Ability to work at heights
- Sound knowledge of AS/NZS 3000 Wiring Rules
- Strong fault-finding and problem‑solving abilities
- Commitment to safety, teamwork, and high‑quality workmanship
