Twilio Segment CDP Lead / Architect

Location: Flexible / Hybrid (Australia) We're looking for an experienced Twilio Segment CDP Lead / Architect to lead the design and implementation of a modern Customer Data Platform (CDP) for a large enterprise environment. You'll be responsible for delivering a scalable customer data ecosystem that enables real-time customer insights, identity resolution, data governance, and seamless activation across multiple digital channels.

This is an prospect to work on a high-profile transformation program where customer data is at the heart of the organisation's digital strategy. What you'll be doing

As the Twilio Segment SME, you'll own the architecture and implementation of the platform, working closely with data, engineering, marketing, and architecture teams.

Your responsibilities will include

Designing and implementing enterprise-scale Twilio Segment CDP solutions

Configuring Segment Workspaces, Sources, Destinations, Protocols and Unify

Building customer identity resolution and unified customer profiles

Developing integrations using Segment APIs, Functions and SDKs

Designing scalable customer data pipelines into AWS (S3, Redshift, Glue and Lambda)





Implementing Reverse ETL and downstream activation into marketing and decisioning platforms

Creating event-driven architectures supporting real-time personalisation

Implementing tracking plans, schema governance and data quality controls

Ensuring privacy, consent management and PII governance across the platform

Integrating Segment with CRM, mobile, web, contact centre and enterprise systems

Establishing DevOps practices including CI/CD, Infrastructure as Code and operational monitoring What we're looking for

You'll be a hands-on technical leader with strong architecture capability and deep experience delivering customer data platforms.

Ideally you'll bring

5+ years' experience across Customer Data Platforms, Data Engineering or MarTech

Commercial experience implementing Twilio Segment (or a similar enterprise CDP)

Strong AWS experience including

S3

Redshift

Glue

Lambda

Experience with APIs, event streaming and integration patterns

Strong understanding of ETL, ELT and Reverse ETL architectures

Experience with customer identity resolution and profile management

Knowledge of data governance, privacy, consent management and compliance

Excellent stakeholder engagement and solution design skills
