In this role, you’ll join a technology products and services division that creates market differentiation through deployment of resilient, innovative technology at scale. You will support stakeholders to navigate their way through the IAG Group Risk Management Framework easily and efficiently and seek to continually improve the management and governance of risk, control and assurance processes.
This is a permanent full time opportunity based in Gadigal Country (Sydney), Meanjin (Brisbane) or Naarm (Melbourne). What You'll Do
- Deliver first line risk support to teams across Technology & Operations in accordance with Group Risk Management Frameworks. This will include:
- Risk profiling and assessments.
- Supporting the management of risk issues and events, with a focus on sustainable control improvements.
- Supporting the management and governance of third parties.
- Supporting cross-divisional reporting and improving oversight of critical systems.
- Supporting regulatory engagements and supervisory activities.
- Engage with Executive-level stakeholders on technology risk management matters.
- Provide expert guidance on control design and effectiveness, drawing on industry best practices and internal standards.
- Support the identification, assessment, and automation of controls, leveraging AI—to strengthen risk management practices across the division.
- Empower technology teams to independently apply the Group Risk Management Framework through intuitive tooling and resources.
- Leverage internal and external data sources to deliver forward-looking technology risk insights.
- Act as a risk SME on transformation, technology change initiatives, outsourcing, remediation,
and continuous improvement activities to identify and support management of operational risk.
- Collaborate with Technology & Operations teams, Risk Advisors, and control owners to embed risk awareness and accountability across the organisation while actively supporting the implementation of the Technology & Operations Risk Culture Plan.
- Provide mentoring and skill uplift to junior members of the team.

What You'll Bring Skills and capabilities
- You have a solid foundation, minimum five years, in technology and/or technology risk, applying strong analytical thinking, critical judgement, and risk assessment skills to complex environments and evolving risk landscapes.
- You are adaptable and curious, continuously developing your knowledge and skills to interpret regulatory requirements, respond to emerging risks, and effectively prioritise changing business needs.
- You demonstrate strong communication and report-writing skills, translating complex information, data, and risk insights into transparent, concise, and actionable outcomes.
- You build trust and credibility with stakeholders at all levels, facilitating effective discussions, providing constructive challenge, and influencing outcomes through confident and purposeful communication.
- You understand the importance of delivering value to internal and external customers, balancing customer outcomes with sound risk management and commercial awareness.
- You take ownership of your responsibilities, applying attention to detail, sound judgement, and effective planning and prioritisation to deliver high-quality outcomes.

Qualifications
- Tertiary qualification/s in Technology, Commerce, Audit or related fields.
- Industry or specialist qualifications within technology and/or risk management fields.
