The Role Reporting into the Head of Allied Health, you'll be delivering high quality speech therapy while leading the development and oversight of therapy informed day programs, that are fresh and modern. Working from the new Mortdale facility, you will be the primary speech pathologist from day one, setting the standard, shaping the discipline and building the caseload, with scope to grow a team over time. What Ability sees real power in occupational therapy and speech pathology working side by side to deliver a truly holistic model of care.





The role focuses on supporting participants to develop communication skills, social interaction and functional participation in their daily environments. Additionally, you will:

- Conduct communication and functional assessments
- Develop individualised therapy plans and deliver speech and language intervention
- Support communication strategy development across a mix of younger children and school leavers
- Provide written reports aligned to NDIS goals
- Collaborate with families, support teams and the OT to deliver an integrated, holistic model of support
- Contribute to therapy informed day programs, participate in supervision and continuing professional development, and maintain accurate clinical documentation

Essential Selection Criteria You are a certified practising Speech Pathologist ready to lead, with a genuine belief in multidisciplinary, holistic care and the drive to build something new. Additionally, you possess:

- Current certified practising membership with Speech Pathology Australia (CPSP)
- Experience sufficient to lead as the primary clinician and set the direction
- A collaborative, multidisciplinary approach and strong documentation practices
- NDIS Worker Screening Check and Working with Children Check, or willingness to obtain
