Job Title: Maintenance Planner [Butter Factory]

Reporting to: Operations Manager

Location: 8 Aquatic Drive, Frenchs Forest, NSW, 2086

Salary range: $80,000 - 95,000 (based on experience)

Role overview Our client is seeking an experienced maintenance planner to start immediately. The role focuses on proactive reliability, safety, and regulatory compliance within a food-processing environment. It requires a balance of high-level planning, systems thinking, and practical technical execution to maximise plant availability, product quality, and cost efficiency in alignment with HACCP, GMP, and WHS standards. You will provide strategic and hands-on leadership in planning, scheduling, and optimizing maintenance activities across the butter manufacturing plant and associated facilities.

- Plan and execute preventive and unplanned maintenance for the butter line, packaging, and related facilities; lead rapid fault-finding to minimise downtime
- Optimize plant layouts and equipment to boost automation and efficiency; maintain CMMS (assets, PMs, work orders)
- Manage contractors, permits, and safety (WH&S;, JSA,



risk assessments); lead zero-tolerance safety culture
- Ensure HACCP/GMP compliance; support QA with pre-op checks and CAPA closures
- Monitor energy/water/refrigerant use; drive continuous improvement and cost efficiency
- Lead small capex scopes, project delivery on time/budget; maintain vendor contracts and spare parts
- Generate weekly maintenance KPIs and keep site plans, security, and utilities current

- At least 1 year of work experience in maintenance/planning in manufacturing; dairy/food processing a plus
- Trade qualification or engineering/maintenance discipline; CMMS experience
- Mechanical, pneumatic, pumps, drives, stainless fabrication; basic CAD/layout skills a plus
- Strong problem-solving, autonomous yet collaborative, on-call ready
- Safety-conscious with HACCP, GMP, and WHS knowledge
- Forklift/EWP preferred
