Your new role

As the Senior Community Engagement Officer, you will lead community engagement planning and delivery across major Council initiatives. Reporting to the Principal Communications and Engagement Officer, you will provide specialist advice to internal stakeholders and support engagement across complex and high-impact projects. This Level 6 role sits within a multi-stakeholder workplace, where community views may vary and require careful management. Success will be measured by engagement outcomes, stakeholder participation and the quality of insight provided to inform decisions.

What you'll need to succeed

- Experience developing and delivering engagement strategies and frameworks
- Strong stakeholder engagement and advisory capability




- Experience working in complex or government environments
- Ability to manage competing priorities and stakeholders
- Strong research, analysis and reporting skills
- Confidence working with diverse community groups

Desirable

- IAP2 certification or the willingness to obtain certification
- Experience with digital engagement platforms

What you'll get in return

Salary range $3,968.41 p.f. - $4,212.78 p.f. plus superannuation. 12% super and 17.5% leave loading.
