Wage: $46 to $54/hr depending on qualifications and experience, plus superannuation, a fully maintained motor vehicle and salary packaging available.

This position is funded to 30 June 2027.

AgBiz Assist Ltd is a respected community organisation that works with farmers, small rural businesses, and ag-dependent communities across North East Victoria. We have offices in Shepparton and Wodonga and provide outreach across 14 local government areas.

AgBiz Assist Ltd is known for its work in rural financial counselling. We have recently expanded our service offering to include mental health support to farmers, small rural businesses, and ag-dependent businesses across our operational footprint.

We’re seeking a Wellbeing & Counselling practitioner to join our team, to provide support to the Goulburn Valley area.

Hours of work for this position are 30.4hrs/week.

The Wellbeing & Counselling team provides basic mental health support to primary producers, forestry workers, fishers, and small related rural businesses, which includes direct face-to-face support,



the provision of training in stress reduction and stress management techniques, and support to community events and activities.

The program is primarily outreach focused and AgBiz Assist offers flexible working arrangements and a fully maintained fleet vehicle.

The Wellbeing & Counselling team does not provide clinical mental health support, but provides heavily assisted transition support into clinical psychologists where needed.

To be successful, you will need the following:

- High level written and verbal communication skills
- Diploma level qualifications in mental health, community work, or similar qualification
- Skilled experience working with farmers, in agriculture, with agriculturally dependent businesses, or with ag-adjacent businesses
- The ability to plan, manage and report on tasks, prioritise and control work areas while working as part of a dispersed team
- A willingness to travel to provide outreach services as required
- Strong IT literacy (experience with Salesforce would be an advantage)

A remuneration package will be offered to the successful applicant commensurate with skills and experience.
