Human Resources Advisor | 6-Month Contract | Fully Remote

Are you an experienced HR practitioner looking for your next contract opportunity — one that lets you work fully remote in the early stages? Osborne Richardson is partnering with a local council client in North QLD to secure a Human Resources Advisor for an initial 6-month engagement, with flexibility around start and working arrangements.

About the Role

This role has come about due to short staffing within the council's People, Performance and Safety team. You'll need to be adaptable, hands-on and comfortable working across the full HR lifecycle — someone who can step in, prioritise and deliver from day one.

Reporting to the Executive Manager People, Performance and Safety, you'll work closely with the broader HR team to progress a number of key priorities, including:

- Preparing employment contracts and related HR correspondence
- Reviewing and refreshing the employee induction program
- Supporting the rollout of a new Onboarding Module in SCOUT
- Reviewing and updating Position Descriptions and Contracts of Employment
- Assisting with the development and rollout of a current performance review program




- Providing generalist HR support across the full employee lifecycle

About You

- Demonstrated HR experience within Queensland Local Government (essential)
- Level 5 equivalent experience under the QLD Local Government Industry Award
- Confident working autonomously and managing competing priorities
- Immediately available or able to start at short notice
- Comfortable with regular online collaboration and meetings
