About the role

We are seeking Experienced Underground Operators for Development Driveage to join our operations team at our Mudgee NSW site. This is a full-time position based in Mudgee NSW 2850. As an Underground Operator, you will play a critical role in the development and expansion of our underground mining operations. You will be responsible for operating heavy machinery and equipment used in driving development headings, ensuring productivity targets are met while maintaining the highest standards of safety and operational efficiency. This role is essential to the success of our mining operations and offers the opportunity to work with a professional team in a safety-focused environment. Midweek and Weekend rosters available.

Key responsibilities

- Operate underground machinery in a Development panel - Continuous Miners, Shuttle cars LHD'S and bolt rigs.
- Conduct pre-shift and post-shift equipment inspections and reporting on machinery condition and any maintenance requirements
- Follow established operational procedures, safety protocols and industry best practice standards at all times
- Work collaboratively with mining teams to maintain productivity schedules and meet production targets
- Support ground support and safety requirements including roof bolting, scaling and other stability measures
- Maintain accurate records of daily operations, equipment usage and any incidents or near-misses
- Identify opportunities for operational improvements and report hazards or safety concerns immediately




- Contribute to a positive team environment and support mentoring of less experienced operators where applicable

What we offer

- Proven experience operating underground mining equipment and machinery, specifically in development driveage or heading extraction
- Valid underground mining induction certification and relevant class of mining ticket or ticket of competency
- Demonstrated understanding of underground mining safety procedures, ground support systems and hazard identification
- Physical fitness and ability to work in underground environments, including confined spaces and varying environmental conditions
- Strong troubleshooting skills to identify equipment issues and perform basic maintenance
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities with the capacity to follow instructions and work under supervision
- A proactive approach to safety and demonstrated commitment to maintaining a protected work environment
- Willingness to work rotating shift patterns, including early starts and weekend work as required by operations
- Experience with load-haul-dump (LHD) vehicles, drill rigs or bolting equipment is highly desirable
