Layer 2 Intelligence Pty Ltd (L2iQ) is seeking an experienced Regional Manager / Regional Lead – Queensland to lead the continued growth of our Queensland business and strengthen our presence across the transport, rail, critical infrastructure, utilities, resources and government sectors.

This is a unique prospect for a commercially minded and entrepreneurial leader who combines strong operational technology expertise with proven capability in business development, sales, consulting, project management and project delivery. Based in Brisbane, you will be responsible for growing our regional footprint, building client relationships, securing new opportunities, and leading successful project outcomes across Queensland.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in rail and transportation technology environments, with experience across operational technology systems, systems integration, communications, SCADA, intelligent transport systems, and related infrastructure. You will be equally comfortable engaging with executive stakeholders, leading project teams, developing growth strategies and delivering complex projects.

The Role

You will support the Queensland business through:

Leading and growing L2iQ's Queensland operations, client base and market presence.

Developing and executing business development and sales strategies to secure new opportunities across rail, transport, utilities and critical infrastructure sectors.

Building trusted relationships with clients, industry partners, government agencies and key stakeholders.

Identifying, shaping and pursuing consulting, engineering and project delivery opportunities.

Acting as the primary Queensland representative for L2iQ and contributing to broader national growth initiatives.

Managing and supporting project delivery teams to ensure successful outcomes in safety, quality, schedule and budget performance.

Providing strategic consulting and technical advisory services to clients on operational technology, systems integration and infrastructure programs.

Leading proposal development, tender submissions, client presentations and commercial negotiations.





Providing leadership and mentorship to engineers, consultants and project teams.

Supporting recruitment, capability development and team growth within Queensland.

Maintaining awareness of industry trends, emerging technologies and market opportunities.

Working collaboratively with interstate teams to deliver national projects and programs.

To Be Successful in This Role, You Will Have

A Degree, Associate Degree or Diploma in Engineering, Technology, Project Management, Business, Commerce or a related discipline; or equivalent industry experience.

10+ years' experience within rail, transport, operational technology, critical infrastructure, resources or related industries.

Demonstrated success in business development, sales, account management or market growth roles.

Strong experience in project management and delivery of technology-based projects.

Experience leading client engagements, developing strategic relationships and identifying growth opportunities.

Sound knowledge of operational technology and systems integration environments.

Proven leadership capability with experience building, leading and mentoring teams.

Strong commercial acumen, including proposal development, contract negotiation and opportunity management.

Excellent communication,



stakeholder engagement and presentation skills.

An entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to identify opportunities and drive outcomes.

Queensland rail industry experience will be highly regarded.

Existing industry relationships within Queensland transport, rail or infrastructure sectors will be highly advantageous.

Full Australian working rights.

Flexibility to travel throughout Queensland and interstate as required.
