Are you an experienced Customer Service skilled who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys being the key link between customers, sales, production and logistics?

We are seeking an experienced Customer Service Officer to join the team of an established and reputable manufacturing organisation.

This is a busy, hands-on customer service position where you will manage your own portfolio of customers and take ownership of their requirements from order entry through to fulfilment.

The Role
Reporting to the National Customer Service Manager, you will be responsible for delivering an exceptional customer experience while ensuring orders, enquiries and issues are managed accurately and efficiently.

Your responsibilities will include:

- Processing high volumes of customer orders received via phone, email and EDI
- Managing your own portfolio of customers
- Responding to customer enquiries and resolving issues promptly
- Managing back orders and proactively communicating with customers regarding availability and delivery
- Investigating and resolving customer complaints
- Processing credits and returned goods
- Monitoring EDI orders and resolving order exceptions
- Liaising closely with Sales, Planning, Inventory, Warehouse and Logistics




- Providing customers with accurate information regarding orders, stock and delivery
- Maintaining accurate information within ERP/customer systems
- Identifying opportunities to improve processes and the overall customer experience
- Working collaboratively within a supportive national Customer Service team

About You
We are looking for someone who genuinely enjoys customer service and takes pride in providing customers with a high level of support.
Ideally, you will bring:

- 3+ years' experience within Customer Service, Sales Support or Order Processing
- Experience working in a high-volume order environment
- Strong understanding of the complete order-to-fulfilment process
- Previous experience using ERP systems
- Exposure to EDI or automated order processing systems would be highly regarded
- Strong computer skills including Word, Excel and Outlook
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent time management and organisational skills
- Confidence managing customer complaints and resolving problems
- A positive, proactive and "can-do" attitude
- The ability to build strong relationships with both customers and internal stakeholders





Experience within manufacturing, building products, industrial products, distribution or a similar environment would be highly advantageous.
