POSITION OVERVIEW

The Display Home Host is responsible for creating a welcoming and professional first impression for visitors to our display homes.

This role involves greeting potential clients, understanding what they are looking for, collecting accurate enquiry information and introducing them to the Stroud Homes building process. The host will support our sales team by identifying genuine opportunities and ensuring enquiries are promptly and properly followed up.

This is not a high-pressure sales role. It is best suited to someone personable, reliable and confident who enjoys speaking with people and can represent the Stroud Homes Brisbane East brand professionally.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Customer service and enquiries

- Open and close the display home at the scheduled times.

- Welcome and engage with every visitor in a friendly and professional manner.

- Ask appropriate questions to understand each visitor’s building plans, preferred locations, timeframe, budget and land status.

- Explain our home designs, inclusions, building process and available options at an introductory level.

- Answer general questions and refer detailed pricing, design and technical enquiries to the appropriate team member.

- Collect complete and accurate contact details from prospective clients.

- Enter new enquiries and relevant notes into the company’s customer management system.

- Notify the sales team of priority or time-sensitive enquiries.





- Arrange appointments with the sales team where appropriate.

- Follow up display-home enquiries as directed.

Display-home presentation

- Ensure the display home is clean, tidy, secure and professionally presented throughout the day.

- Keep brochures, floorplans, pricing information and promotional materials organised and adequately stocked.

- Check lighting, air conditioning, televisions and other display items when opening and closing.

- Report maintenance, cleaning or presentation issues promptly.

- Monitor visitor activity and ensure display-home rules are followed.

- Complete the required opening and closing security procedures.

Administration and team support

- Maintain accurate visitor and enquiry records.

- Provide a brief handover or activity report after each shift.

- Assist with general sales administration and follow-up tasks during quieter periods.

- Support promotional events, display-home launches and client information sessions when required.

- Maintain confidentiality regarding client, company and pricing information.

SKILLS AND ATTRIBUTES

- Friendly, confident and comfortable initiating conversations.

- Professional personal presentation and communication.

- Reliable and able to work independently.





- Strong customer-service skills.

- Valuable attention to detail and accurate data entry.

- Comfortable using email, basic computer systems and customer management software.

- Able to identify genuine sales opportunities without making visitors feel pressured.

- Organised and able to manage several visitor groups at once.

- An interest in homes, design, property or residential construction would be beneficial.

EXPERIENCE

Previous experience in customer service, reception, retail, real estate, hospitality or sales support would be advantageous; however, residential construction experience is not essential. Training will be provided on our home designs, inclusions, processes and enquiry systems.

HOURS AND AVAILABILITY

The regular roster will generally include:

- Two out of every three weekends at the Redland Bay display home.

- Mondays at the Rochedale display home.

- Additional shifts for leave coverage, events or busy periods may be offered by agreement.

The successful applicant must be dependable and available for the agreed roster, as the display home is often the first point of contact for potential clients.
