Demonstrate competency in the use of machining equipment
Possess the ability to assemble intricate components
Demonstrate competency in the use of workshop plant
Demonstrate competency in the use of hand tools
Demonstrate the ability to read and interpret workshop drawings
Work within the perimeters of Workplace Health and Safety legislation
WORKING CONDITIONS
Most work is carried out in a up-to-date, neat workshop
Some work is carried out in confined spaces
Some work is conducted outside
Some work involves working at heights
Sometimes work is conducted in extreme heat
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Be physically fit
Ability to enter and exit tanks
Ability to stand on feet for long periods of time
Ability to work in a static posture for long periods of time
Ability to use hand tools for long periods of time- e.g. Swing a hammer
Ability to use percussion tools
Perform repetitive tasks
Lift heavy objects on a regular basis
