Permanent, full-time position
38 ordinary hours per week
Location: Rowville VIC 3178
Versatile roster, including weekends and public holidays
Salary: $79,423 per annum plus statutory superannuation.

Role overview

The Chef is responsible for overseeing kitchen operations, preparing high-quality dishes, maintaining food safety standards, and leading kitchen staff to ensure smooth and efficient service.

Key responsibilities
Plan and prepare dishes in line with menu standards
Develop and update menu items, including specials
Ensure consistent food quality and presentation
Supervise and train kitchen staff
Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards
Monitor stock levels and minimise wastage




Ensure compliance with food safety regulations
Manage kitchen operations during service

Qualifications and experience
A relevant qualification in Commercial Cookery or an equivalent field is mandatory
At least 2 to 3 years of experience in a similar chef role
Robust knowledge of food safety and kitchen hygiene standards
Ability to work effectively under pressure in a busy service workplace
Strong leadership, organisational and communication skills
