Meridian Legal, an established law firm with offices across Kensington, Wentworth Point, Parramatta and Blacktown, is looking for an experienced Legal Bookkeeper to join the team at our Blacktown office.
This is a part-time position (ideally Monday, Wednesday, Friday) suited to someone who wants ownership of the firm's day-to-day financial administration. It's a excellent fit for anyone seeking part time hours that work around school pick-up or other commitments.
What we're looking for
Someone who knows their way around trust accounting and doesn't need hand-holding. You're organised, accurate, and comfortable managing invoicing, bill payments and debt follow-up without things slipping through the cracks. You take pride in keeping the books clean and the office running smoothly.
Essential requirements
Demonstrated bookkeeping experience, ideally within a legal or skilled services workplace
Working knowledge of trust accounting principles and compliance requirements
Experience with LEAP and/or triConvey highly regarded
High attention to detail and strong organisational skills
Confident, professional communication for liaising with clients and creditors
Key duties
Managing and reconciling trust accounts
Creating and receiving invoices
Processing bill payments
Chasing outstanding debt
General office administration, including ensuring office amenities are maintained
