Senior Associate or Associate in the TMT practice, based in Sydney, Brisbane or Melbourne, specializing in cyber, data and AI law.
Responsibilities
Advising clients on cyber preparedness and incident response.
Managing complex data matters (privacy, spam, surveillance) and related transactions.
Designing and implementing data and AI governance frameworks.
Conducting regulatory investigations and advising on enforcement action.
Collaborating with other practice groups to support cross‑functional client needs.
Delivering executive‑level advice to boards and senior management.
Qualifications
Experience advising on cyber preparedness and incident response.
Hands‑on experience with complex data, privacy, spam and surveillance issues.
Experience in regulatory investigations or enforcement matters.
Knowledge of AI governance and transactions is desirable.
Strong technical background and academic credentials.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Robust interpersonal skills and ability to build client relationships.
Track record managing multiple, large matters and leading teams.
Willingness to participate in business development activities.
Motivation to learn, grow and mentor colleagues.
