We’re working with a premier Australian firm looking to grow its Sydney Funds practice, offering exposure to complex, high-value mandates and blue-chip clients.

The Team

This highly regarded team advises domestic and international fund managers, institutional investors, and super funds on fund formation, regulatory compliance, and investment activities. Known for its technical excellence and commercial approach, the team operates at the forefront of the Australian funds landscape.

The Role

You’ll work across a broad range of funds and investment management matters, including fund establishment, capital raising, and ongoing operational and regulatory advice. The role offers robust client exposure and the opportunity to work closely with leading partners on complex mandates.

Key responsibilities include:
Advising on the structuring and establishment of managed funds (including private equity, infrastructure, real estate, and credit funds)
Drafting fund documentation, including constitutions, IMs, and side letters
Advising on regulatory matters,



including AFSL compliance and financial services laws
Supporting clients on investments, co‑investments, and fund transactions

Requirements
2–8 years’ PQE in funds, financial services, or corporate law at a top‑tier firm
Experience in fund formation, investment management, or financial services regulation
Strong drafting, analytical, and commercial skills
Excellent academic background and communication skills
Australian-qualified (or eligible for admission in Australia)
