MAYDAY Recruitment is partnering with a respected organisation within the funeral services sector to recruit a Funeral Conductor / Arranger based in Werribee. This role is ideal for someone who is compassionate, highly organised, and service-driven, with the ability to support families through sensitive and meaningful moments while coordinating and conducting professional funeral services.

Responsibilities
Meeting with families to arrange and coordinate funeral services in line with their wishes
Conducting and overseeing funeral services with professionalism and respect
Providing exceptional customer service to families, clients, and internal stakeholders
Supporting day-to-day operations at the Werribee location
Ensuring compliance with internal policies, procedures, and quality standards
Assisting with preparation, coordination, and service delivery as required
Contributing to a team-oriented and respectful team environment
Supporting health, safety, and wellbeing standards in the workplace
You must be willing to travel to local chapels and other branches from time to time to support service delivery and operational needs

About You

Essential:
Experience in a service-focused setting or ability to quickly learn




Current unrestricted driver’s licence
Comfortable working in circumstances involving death, grief, and deceased persons
Strong communication skills with a calm, empathetic approach
High attention to detail and ability to follow instructions
Sensitivity and respect for diverse values, beliefs, and cultural practices
Physically and psychologically fit to manage manual handling, stress, and the inherent requirements of the role

Desirable:
Exposure to or understanding of the funeral services industry, or willingness to learn
Background in hospitality, retail, community services, or a similar people-focused industry
