Montgomery Advisory is partnering with a leading national law firm to recruit a Senior Associate to join its highly regarded Cyber Insurance team in Sydney or Melbourne .
This is an exciting opportunity to work at the forefront of one of the fastest-growing areas of insurance law, advising insurers and corporate clients on cyber incidents, data breaches, privacy obligations, cyber coverage disputes and cyber-related litigation.
You’ll work on complex, high-profile matters alongside an experienced and cooperative team, with significant client exposure and excellent prospects for career progression.
The Role
You will advise on a broad range of cyber insurance and incident response matters, including:
Managing cyber incident response matters from initial notification through to resolution
Advising on privacy, data breach and regulatory notification obligations
Acting for insurers on cyber coverage issues
Advising on disputes, recoveries and cyber-related litigation
Acting as coverage and monitoring counsel on significant cyber incidents
Briefing Counsel and coordinating technical experts, insurers and other stakeholders throughout the response process
About You
You will have:
4+ years' post-admission experience
Experience in cyber, financial lines or commercial litigation
Insurance law experience or exposure to the insurance sector (highly regarded)
Solid drafting, analytical and investigative skills
Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities
A commercial, solutions-focused mindset and a genuine interest in cyber risk and emerging technologies
