Our client is a well-established Australian-owned business with a strong reputation, national presence and genuinely supportive culture. They're looking for an experienced Payroll Officer to join their close-knit finance team in a diverse role that offers autonomy, stability and the opportunity to make a real impact. This role offers the prospect to take on additional accounting functions in time, so you need to bring with you the experience or suitable qualifications!

The Opportunity

You'll take ownership of end-to-end payroll for approximately 360 employees while supporting the broader finance function.

Payroll
End-to-end weekly and monthly payroll processing
Interpret Awards, EBAs and payroll legislation
Process superannuation, payroll tax, STP, PAYG and month/year-end activities
Maintain payroll records, resolve employee queries and ensure ongoing compliance

Accounts & Finance
Provide backup support across Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable
Assist with job costing, project accounting and profitability reporting
Support BAS, GST,



reconciliations and month-end reporting
Assist with audits and provide finance support to the CFO

About You

You'll bring:
Proven end-to-end payroll experience
Strong knowledge of Awards, EBAs and Australian payroll legislation
Experience across transactional accounting (AP/AR)
Strong Excel skills, excellent attention to detail and a collaborative approach
