Role Overview

We are seeking a highly organised, compassionate, and proactive Medical Receptionist to join our team in a part-time position . This role is fast-paced and requires a solid team player with excellent customer service and administration skills. As the first point of contact for our patients, you will play a key role in creating a positive and welcoming experience.

Key Responsibilities
Greet and assist patients, creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere
Manage appointment bookings, cancellations, and rescheduling accurately and efficiently
Answer phone calls and respond to patient inquiries in a qualified and empathetic manner
Maintain and manage patient records with confidentiality and attention to detail
Process billing and Medicare rebates
Ensure reception and consulting rooms remain clean, organised, and presentable

Skills & Qualifications
Previous experience as a medical receptionist (or similar role)



preferred
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Strong organisational abilities with keen attention to detail
Ability to multitask and remain calm under pressure
Proficiency in medical software (Shexie) and Microsoft Office Suite
Understanding of medical terminology (desirable)
A friendly, professional, and compassionate attitude

Working Hours

This is a part-time, on-site position based in our Box Hill consulting rooms , working Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday on a rotating roster:
