Mechanic / Asset & Yard Coordinator

Savana Environmental is a leading Western Australian hazardous materials remediation contractor specialising in asbestos removal, demolition and environmental remediation. We are looking for a motivated and hands-on team member to join our operations team in a diverse role that combines mechanical work, asset management, stores and yard coordination.

No two days are the same. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys variety, takes pride in maintaining equipment and keeping operations running efficiently.

About the Role

Your responsibilities will include:
Servicing and carrying out minor repairs on company vehicles, trailers, tools and plant.
Coordinating scheduled servicing, inspections and repairs with external suppliers.
Managing company assets, tools and equipment.
Maintaining accurate maintenance and asset records.
Receiving, organising and issuing stock, consumables and PPE.
Ordering workshop and warehouse supplies.
Loading and unloading deliveries.
Maintaining a clean, organised and secure workshop and yard.
Preparing vehicles, plant and equipment for upcoming projects.




Conducting routine inspections of equipment to ensure operational readiness.
Assisting project teams with mobilisation and demobilisation of equipment.
General yard duties and assisting the operations team as required.

About You

To be successful, you will ideally have:
Trade qualification as a Light Vehicle, Heavy Vehicle or Diesel Mechanic (preferred but not essential).
Mechanical aptitude with the ability to diagnose and facilitate maintenance.
Experience managing tools, equipment or warehouse inventory.
Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
Forklift licence (preferred).
Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities.
A proactive attitude with a willingness to help wherever required.
